Wildlife Trade

Wildlife trade is the sale or exchange of wild animal and/or plant resources. Most wildlife trade is legal but becomes harmful when targeted species are overexploited. Skins, furs, timber, medicinal ingredients and tourist curios are just a few of the products involved in illegal wildlife trade. August's newsletter looks into this activity that threatens many species.
