Sand Scramble

My "gull"-ible friend here sometimes gets confused when searching for his next meal. And that could be dangerous! Help him figure out what's pollution and what's lunch by descrambling these commonly found items underneath the sand. You can also think about what the gull would like to eat!

Did you know?

...that in just one day in 1996, Coastal Cleanup volunteers picked up over 1,280,638 kilograms (2,820,789 lb.) of trash from America's beaches? In this mass of trash were 179,986 plastic straws, which if lined up end to end would be enough to stretch for 34 kilometers (21 mi.), or 375 football fields!

For more information about how you can become an International Coastal Cleanup volunteer, call the Center for Marine Conservation at 1-800-CMC-BEACH.
