 Greenhouse Frog (exotic)
Eleutherodactylus planirostris planirostris
Description:
Small frog (less than 1 1/2"), color pattern is variable, back is usually
bronzy brown. May be spotted or striped. Pink to pinkish brown color from
the eyes to the snout.
Similar Species:
Cricket frogs have stripes along inside of the thighs, juvenile bronze frogs have
lateral ridges. |

Giant/Marine Toad (exotic)
Bufo marinus
Description:
An extremely large toad (up to 6"), usually brown or grayish with
occasional cream spots scattered over the back. Back and legs are covered with spiny
warts. Large parotoid glands (poisonous to pets) extend behind the ears and over
the shoulders.
Similar Species:
The southern toad has two ridges behind the eye. The oak toad has a yellow to
orange stripe down the back. |

Cuban Treefrog (exotic)
Osteopilus spetentrionalis
Description:
Largest treefrog in the U.S. (up to 5.5"). Large obvioius toe
pads. Usually gray to gray-green or tan-brown. Rear toes slightly webbed.
Similar Species:
The barking treefrog is much smaller and has a white stripe on the lip. |
