A dolphin pod is a relative small group of individuals that remains relatively stable in terms of the individuals present. Changes are due to births and deaths. Animals - depending on the species - could be together for 5, 10, 20 or more years. However, these animals are very difficult to study in the wild and we are a long way from knowing all the details. I'm sure that we will encounter lots of surprises!
