Students at Ontiveros Elementary School became experts in the field of recycling and composting. They designed and produced brochures that are distributed to school children throughout Santa Barbara County. Ontiveros School also recycles roughly 80% of its waste, including: aluminum, cardboard, newspaper, plastic, glass, steel cans, milk cartons, polystyrene lunch trays, office paper, and toner cartridges.
