Fun Facts
1. Newly hatched flamingos are covered with soft gray feathers. The chicks acquire their pale pink plumage as they approach their third birthday. To keep warm, chicks snuggle under the wing of a parent. Both parents take turns feeding their chick with a secretion from a glad near the upper digestive track.
