Get an inside look at the who, what, why and how of working with animals. If a career in animal health, behavior or care is something you'd like to do later in life, enroll in this camp now.

Advanced Specialization Option
Add three days onto your camp session and get a more in-depth experience in your area of interest. Campers work side by side with SeaWorld animal care, aquarium, aviculture and animal training professionals. Call (210) 523-3608 for more information.

Sample Itinerary
Day 1
 

Arrival
Dinner and Orientation

Day 2 - Aviculture Department
 

Shovel snow and assist in feeding penguins
Interact with penguins in the water
Help prepare diets for birds
Assist in feeding birds

Day 3 - Aquarium Department
 

Help prepare diets for fish and sharks
Assist in feeding fish and sharks
View aquarium support facilities
Snorkel next to sharks and rays

Day 4 - Animal Training Department (White Whale and Dolphin & Sea Lion, Walrus, and Otters)
 

Help prepare diets for whales and dolphins
View various animal training sessions
Participate in a beluga interaction program
Assist trainers in daily duties

Day 5 - Animal Care Department
 

Help prepare diets for sea lions, seals, and dolphins
Assist animal care specialists in husbandry sessions
Assist in feeding sea lions and seals
Snorkel next to dolphins listening for various vocalizations

Day 6 - Animal Training Department (Shamu Theatre)
 

Help prepare diets for killer whales
View animal training and husbandry training sessions
