Program Details
Group size
Adventure Camp at SeaWorld San Diego can accommodate groups of 16 to 120 students. Large groups are divided into smaller teams of one camp counselor for every eight campers.
(Less than 16 students in your group? Check out our one-night Sleepovers for groups of 7–24 or six-night Resident Camp sessions for open enrollment.)
Grade levels
Currently we offer Adventure Camp programs for students in grades 4 through 12. We may be able to customize a program for older or younger students—please call for more information.
Lengths of session
Choose a two-night, three-night, or six-night session. Or let us customize a session to meet your time and budget constraints.
Time of year
We offer six-night sessions year-round, Saturday–Friday. We offer two-, three-, four- and five-night sessions September through May; you choose the dates. SeaWorld San Diego is open every day, year-round.
Transportation
On arrival and departure days, our camp staff provides transportation to and from the San Diego international airport or train terminal. Camp fees also include transportation to all scheduled field trips.
Camp Counselors
SeaWorld Adventure Camp counselors are experts at managing groups of youth. They coordinate all camp activities and supervise your students. We hire adults and college students with experience in and enthusiasm for working with children and teens. Most have or are working toward a college degree in recreation, education, biology, marine biology, or zoology.
We provide at least one counselor for every eight students.
Chaperones
Our staff will supervise and guide your students throughout their Adventure Camp experience. For most camp programs we do not require chaperones; however, you are welcome to bring them. From September through May, one chaperone comes free for every 24 students, and chaperones may stay in the dorms with students if they wish.
(Group leaders and adult chaperones do not stay in dorms with campers during the summer season. Ask for a list of nearby preferred hotels.)
Concurrent groups
Depending on the camp schedule, it is possible that other school or youth groups may be using the Adventure Camp facility during your visit; however, your students will not share dorm rooms with any other group. Your group of 16 or more will not be split apart and “mixed in” with another group unless it is at the request of both groups.
Field Trips
Six-night camps include the following field trips:
Grades 4–6 kayak, boogie-boarding, and beach party field trips
Grades 7–12 snorkel, surfing, and beach party field trips
At your request, we can also arrange field trips for shorter camp sessions. Additional fee applies. Please call for more information.
